The National Museum of Resistance and Freedom, located in Peniche, is a space of remembrance that recalls the period of dictatorship in Portugal and the role of political prisoners during this dark phase in the country's history. Located in a former military fort with origins dating back to the 16th century, this museum offers an immersive and educational experience, taking visitors on a journey that addresses themes such as resistance, repression and the fight for freedom.
